Tails & Woofs is a dog walking and pet care business based in Oakwood, Derby. We're responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

When you send us a message

Your name, your email address and your message, plus your phone number and the service you're interested in if you give them.

When you use the booking app

The details you give us when you create an account, your dogs' details and photos, your bookings and requests, and any reviews you leave.

When you visit the site

The pages you visit, so we can count visits. Your browser keeps a random visitor ID for this. If you're logged on, the visit is linked to your account.

If a page goes wrong, a report of the error is sent to us so we can fix it.

What's stored in your browser

This website and the booking app keep a few small items in your browser:

• your sign-in session, so you stay logged on
• a note that you're logged on, so our pages can show a link to your account
• a random visitor ID, used to count visits
• a note that you've closed the prompt to add the app to your home screen, if you have

You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them logs you out.

How we protect the contact form

To stop automated spam, the form records how long it took to fill in, and we limit how many messages can be sent from one network in a short time. We don't store your IP address.

Why we use it

• to answer your messages
• to set up and run your account, your bookings and your requests
• to send you emails about your bookings
• to count visits and fix problems, so the site and the app keep working

We use your information to provide the services you ask for. We answer messages, count visits and look into errors because it's in our legitimate interest to reply to people who contact us and to run a working, safe website.

Who helps us

We use these service providers to run the site and the app:

• Vercel, for hosting the website and the booking app
• Google Firebase, for accounts, the app's data and visit counts
• Cloudflare, for our contact form, for keeping a copy of your message, and for storing photos you upload
• Brevo, for sending emails, including your message to us
• Sentry, for error reports
• fal.ai, for making a cartoon portrait of your dog from its photo

How long we keep it

We keep messages from the contact form for up to 180 days. We keep your account information while you have an account with us. To have your account and its information deleted, email tailsandwoofs@outlook.com.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email tailsandwoofs@outlook.com and we'll reply within 24 hours.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
